My names Steven Beetham a British Filmmaker, Director and Writer based in the North West of England (Lancashire)

I officially set up River Wyre Films in (2014) however the thought of River Wyre films was created many years prior.

​

River Wyre films was created with the intention of telling compelling stories though the narrative of analogue/digital film, to network/communicate with other film makers locally and worldwide and to create a local talent pool of film makers and film enthusiasts to promote the North West (UK) and to show off what it has to offer.

 

I felt very passionate from a young age about watching films, this later developed into a keen interest.

I become inspired by Sergio Leone, John Huston, Alfred Hitchcock, Steven Spielberg and such actors as Gary Oldman, Bob Mitchum, Susan Sarandon, Kristin Scott Thomas.

This interest led to a curiosity and a need to understand how films were made and how concepts of film writing went from pen and paper to  a vision on the big Screen.

Due to my passion and a need to learn I studied (TV&Media) at Preston, Lancaster & Morecombe, between 2004-2005.

The TV&Media course opened my eyes to the possibilities of one day writing, directing and making my own films

So with this possibility I put pen to paper with the intention of one day, everyone seeing my compelling story being played on the big screen.

Why now, I hear you asking? like anything in life it takes time to create/produce and direct the vision, however combined with my passion and dedication I'm now ready to show the world what has inspired me to keep my dream afloat
